Discovery Club

Since its inception, the group has steadily grown and has become self-funding.  It has been nicknamed the Discovery Club and the children that attend think it is brilliant.  One child said that the club was ‘almost too much fun’!

Discovery Club runs every day from Monday to Thursday until 5.15pm. Sessions for the Autumn Term are now available to book on My School Portal. The cost remains the same as last year:

First Child £9 per session (£4.50 for Top Up session after Sports Club)

Sibling attending the same session £8 (£4.00 for Top Up session after Sports Club)

Please note that all children must be collected by 5.15pm. Any children collected after this time will incur a late fee of £10 per quarter of an hour to cover the costs of the two staff who are legally required to stay.

Please note that some sessions are fully booked by regular users. If you need ad hoc childcare, please check in advance by emailing the School Business Manager using office@gw.act-academytrust.org.

Charlie Brown's Before and After School Clubs Autumn Term 2024

All clubs are open to children in Year 1 and above. Children in Reception can join older siblings at morning clubs on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Please contact admin@gw.act-academytrust.org if you would like your Reception age child to join a morning club, and we will check with Charlie Brown.

Morning Clubs

All Morning Clubs start week beginning 9th September and cost £2.50 per child per session.

Monday - Gymnastics

A chance to use lots of our great gymnastic apparatus, enhance key fundamental movements all whilst having some fun!

Tuesday - Just Dance

A personal favourite of mine, an opportunity to come into school and have a boogie! Super fun, energising and gets the mind in a brilliant place to kickstart the day. Even some teachers join in too!

Wednesday - Wake 'n' Shake

Wake 'n' Shake is a club where we utilise lots of equipment to create a variety of fun exercises to help us get up and go for the day!

Thursday - Benchball & Dodgeball

Two great sports either played in rotation or combined into the famous 'Benchdodge' that we created in school last year. Really good fun and great for agility, balance & coordination.

Friday - Darts

Darts fever has been taking over the school! A great hand eye game, super fun & sneakily a great way to improve mental maths!

After School

Monday - Tag Rugby

Following another very successful year in our tag rugby competitions where we reached the national finals, tag rugby club is back & hoping to expand on our brilliant team!

Tuesday - Multi-Sports

The ever present club is here to stay, with a variety of different games/sports to promote agility, balance & co-ordination.

14 weeks beginning 10th September (excluding half term week) – Cost £56

Wednesday - Cricket & Rounders

Cricket fever has been taking over during lunchtimes and I hope to be able to take this to another level by working on certain cricket techniques in an after school clubs. Plus a bonus with rounders added in for some great fun.

Thursday - Tennis

Tennis is always a popular club at Great Wilbraham, with another opportunity to explore the great sport through various fun games & matches!

Friday - Football

Friday football! Football in safe, fun & engaging environment with friends. Hopefully building on the euros fever from the summer!

13 weeks beginning 13th September (excluding half term week). Please note there is no club on Friday 20th December – Cost £52
