    • A Tale as Old as Time

      On Monday 1 December, our school was transformed into an enchanted castle as West End in Schools brought their magical production of Beauty and The Beast directly to our hall.

      Thanks to the generous funding and efforts of our wonderful PTFA, our students had the opportunity to experience the magic of live theatre. 

      We are already looking forward to their production next year, when they will be coming back to perform the classic adventure of Dick Whittington.

      We have successfully embedded a new phonics scheme, Little Wandle, across the school. This structured approach is already helping our youngest learners build strong foundations in reading and writing. Alongside this, we have adopted a new Trust-wide teaching and learning strategy designed to improve outcomes for all pupils. This strategy focuses on high-quality instruction, consistency, and ensuring that every child, regardless of starting point, can achieve their full potential.

    • Reading and Feedback Enhancements

      We have launched a whole school reading strategy and policy to raise the profile of reading and foster a love of books among our pupils. Reading is at the heart of learning, and we are committed to making it a priority in every classroom. In addition, improvements to marking and feedback have been implemented. These changes aim to provide pupils with clear, constructive guidance while reducing unnecessary workload for teachers, allowing them to focus more on planning and delivering high-quality lessons.

    • Panathlon sporting event

      On Wednesday 26 November, some of our children participated in this year's Panathlon event, held at Coleridge Community College, Cambridge. They represented the school incredibly well, showing fabulous teamwork. They managed to come first! Well done to all who participated.

    • School trip to Ely

      Published 02/12/25

      On Wednesday 26 November, we travelled to Ely to visit the cathedral. The children spent time in the stained-glass museum, learning about various Christian symbols used in the windows through time. They were given a search-and-find quiz to compete to ensure they got the most out of this visit. We also met a pilgrim, who spoke about typical clothing and activities.
