Discovery Club

Since its inception, the group has steadily grown and has become self-funding.  It has been nicknamed the Discovery Club and the children that attend think it is brilliant.  One child said that the club was ‘almost too much fun’!

Discovery Club runs every day from Monday to Thursday until 5.15 pm. Sessions are available to book on Arbor. 

First Child £10.00 per session (£5.00 for Top Up session after Sports Club)

Sibling attending the same session £9.00 (£4.50 for Top Up session after Sports Club)

Please note that all children must be collected by 5.15pm. Any children collected after this time will incur a late fee of £10 per quarter of an hour to cover the costs of the two staff who are legally required to stay.

Please note that some sessions are fully booked by regular users. If you need ad hoc childcare, please check in advance by emailing the school office using office@gw.act-academytrust.org.

Charlie Brown's Before and After School Clubs Autumn Term 2025

All clubs are open to children in Year 1 and above, Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. Please contact office@gw.act-academytrust.org if you would like your Reception age child to join a morning club, and we will check with Charlie Brown.

Morning Clubs

All Morning Clubs run from cost £3.50 per child per session.

Monday - Gymnastics

A chance to use the climbing frame & many other pieces of gym equipment in the hall! 

Tuesday - Just Dance

A personal favourite of mine, an opportunity to come into school and have a boogie! Super fun, energising and gets the mind in a brilliant place to kickstart the day. Even some teachers join in too!

Thursday - Benchball & Dodgeball

Benchball & Dodgeball double header on a Thursday!! Super popular and great fun. Will also include ultimate dodgeball, Jedi dodgeball, bench dodge & many more! 

 

After School

Monday - Tag rugby/Basketball 

Carrying on the tag rugby spirit with the addition of basketball whilst hopefully the weather stays good enough for us to enjoy it! 

Tuesday - Multi-sports 

As always, Tuesday is for variety! A mix of fun games, different sports, a chance to enjoy sport/exercise in a structured environment at the start of the week. 

Wednesday - Tchoukball/Rounders 

Rounders was a roaring success all throughout the school over the summer period, so it will be nice to carry it on whilst we enjoy the last spell of the warm weather. Tchoukball also is in the mix, a really cool invasion game that the children will love! 

Thursday - Benchball/Dodgeball

Friday - Football

A lovely way to end the week. An organised football match to round off busy learning before the weekend!
