We have several committee members who regularly attend meetings and support in planning events.
We always welcome new members and apart from raising money, we hope to get some fun out of organising the events too. If you would like to join us or are willing to help out at an event please get in touch with a member of the committee or come along to one of our meetings which run on the first Wednesday of each month. Contact us at wilbrahamptfa@gmail.com for more information.
What we do:
Through the generosity of our school and wider community, profits from events in the 2024-2025 academic year was in excess of £6,500. What an incredible achievement!
The funds raised are mainly used to help fund school trips, snack time fruit for KS2, classroom equipment, devices and a pantomime in school at Christmas each year. Fundraising events organised by the PTFA include activities for adults and children such as the annual school fete, Bingo, Quiz & Chips, Winter Window Walk, uniform sale, family disco, film nights and our Friday Treats stall each week.
In the Autumn Term each class was given £200 to spend on classroom equipment which is being used daily to enhance learning activities. Additionally, we are liaising with the senior leadership team to identify key areas of the school where we can spend this money and make a difference to the everyday activities of the children, both within the classroom and outdoors. This includes the pond area, field gazebo, main playground, and classrooms.
How you can help:
Planning for our Summer Fete is underway, which will be held on Saturday 20th June. As this falls during the World Cup, our activities will be celebrating various cultures across the world. Save the date and keep an eye out for more information as we were delighted to see so many local residents and business owners support the event last year through generous raffle prizes, offers of help, lending of equipment and joining us on the day; this demonstrates the strength and support in this community. If you can help again, please get in touch as our preparations are already underway!
