Charity Work

Great Wilbraham has a strong sense of community and charitable values.  The school, the parish council and church all work together to ensure the well-being of the residents within the village and wider community.

As a school, we also have the PTFA which is made up of volunteers who try to raise money to fund special events for the children.

Our governing body is also very important in linking the school with the local community.  We are lucky to have governors from a wide range of different backgrounds including medicine, IT, education, architecture and marketing.

We are keen to support charitable causes including Comic Relief, Children in need, Sport Relief, Jimmys nighshelter and the Remembrance poppy appeal

Jimmy's Nightshelter

We just wanted to say a big thank you for the very kind donations from Great Wilbraham Primary School .It was so appreciated.

During the colder months, we are reminded of how important our service is. In 2017 we worked with over 200 individuals, supporting around three-quarters of them into more stable, longer-term accommodation, such as to other supported housing, private rent or house shares. During the Winter, we are again looking to encourage more individuals out of the cold, rain and inclement weather into Jimmy’s to offer support, a safe secure environment, warming meals and a place off the streets to those that need it in Cambridge.

We will use your kind donation to make a significant improvement to the fortunes of the homeless community in Cambridge.

With Best Wishes
Jimmy’s Cambridge
